About The Artist
April Prendergast
April is a ceramics artist studying in the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. She studied her first year of Art and Design in Limerick School of Art and Design and is now completing her final year of a BA (Hons) Fine Art Ceramics degree in the National College of Art and Design. She is a Kildare and Dublin based artist. Her work focuses on the potentials of sensory experiences in ceramics. For this body of work, she focuses on the tactile sense. She specifically looks at evolving a sense of connection and understanding through touch using intimate objects that are made to be held and touched.
